Easter

Easter this year was a lot of fun.  Avery was old enough to really get into coloring the eggs.  She picked each color and diligently watched as the eggs changed colors.  Despite putting a "craft shirt" on her, she was really worried about the mess.

I think that her favorite part of the whole thing was putting stickers on the eggs.  This kid really loves stickers!

She was so proud of these eggs.  I'm pretty sure that she had no real concept of what we were doing with the eggs or why we were coloring them, but she loved doing it!

Easter morning!  Instead of another basket, the Easter Bunny brought Avery an Easter backpack this year...a little more practical.

After finding each egg, Avery lined them up in a row on the carpet.  She wanted Jeremy to hide them again after she found them all, but she insisted on finding them in the exact same order as she had the first time!  That proved to be very difficult.  Eventually we just ended up convincing her that whatever order she was finding them in was the original order!

After a morning at home, we headed to Clinton for lunch with Grandpa and Grandma.  It was such a nice day that we walked to lunch.

We stopped for a rare photo of Avery with each of us.  It seems like we are always taking pictures of her, but they seem to be with everyone but us (it's even more rare to get one of the three of us together).

I just love this kid!

After lunch, it was time to find eggs at Grandpa and Grandma's house (boy that Easter Bunny sure makes it around!).  Avery and Skyler did most of the hunting, but Mason joined in a little as well.

Avery decided to pick "flowers" for everyone once all of the eggs had been found.  Grandpa was real excited when Avery went outside of his yard to find these precious gems and then brought them and their little seeds into his yard! Oh, well.

When all the "flowers" had been picked, Avery and Grandma played a rousing game of "throw the stick."  Avery got such a kick out of throwing these sticks and then finding them.  I love how something so simple can bring her such joy for so long!
All in all, it was a great Easter!
